The food is really good, especially the burger. You can tell everything is homemade, from the bun to the sauces, and the prices are very affordable for that quality. The bosses are professional and pleasant. A super pretty place, highly recommended if you’re spending a weekend in this magnificent area.

We stayed in the large tent area, which had lots of room and plenty of choice for where to pitch. Many campers have their own long-stay plots, which I can completely understand. Most of the short-stay visitors seemed to move on after two nights. The grounds are beautiful. It gets a little chilly in the evening, probably because the site is low down and near a river, though that wasn’t a problem during the heat wave. The service was very good, and people tried to help as best they could even when you don’t speak German. You get coins for the paid showers at the office. The toilets are quite a walk from the camping area, but you get used to it.

We were biking along the river looking for a meal that sounded good, and this place turned out to be perfect, just a few minutes off the path. The staff were so kind and let us try their hauswein and hausbier. Highly recommend!

The first field is for touring, and there’s also room for tents and shepherd huts. The family who own the place are delightful. Their restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals using locally sourced ingredients, and they speak English very well.
