Architecture fans, especially anyone interested in Egon Eiermann, should see this place. The renovation was planned by Egon Eiermann in the 60s, from beginning to end, which was great. The hotel itself is very old, though, and the rooms smell their age too. The bed was terrible, and the bathroom really needs updating. It was passable for one night, but not much more. Breakfast was a plus, good and with plenty of variety.

The staff were very courteous, and I had a comfortable stay for 5 days. Everything was very clean and tidy. Breakfast and meals were very good, and the restaurant has a nice bar with a large variety of drinks. My only suggestion would be to add an electric kettle for making tea or coffee.

I've come back for business trips, thanks to the friendly welcome, clean rooms, and really excellent food. It's a lovely family-run hotel.

Right by one of Buchen's old city gates, the hotel is in a beautiful spot. The staff are friendly, and the authentic Eiermann units are a nice feature.

We came to the Spa building with the Vital Hotel for a chess tournament and were treated very kindly and helpfully. The hotel itself is nice, with good rooms and friendly service.
