Hotel Heidehof Garni

We were three adults and were given a small apartment, which worked perfectly for us. The hotel is in a quiet area, though restaurants are still within walking distance. Our room was very clean and neat, with a good standard. We’ve marked the hotel as a favourite for the next time we pass through.

The staff handled a sudden snowstorm thoughtfully and offered us a refund for another time. We stayed last year at Hotel Heidehof, and it was a very pleasant visit. The breakfast was great, too. Comfortable rooms, excellent amenities and fantastic service made for a really positive stay at Hotel Heidehof.

I stayed for one night. The hotel was easy to find from the highway, and there’s a large free parking area just outside the entrance. The room and the rest of the hotel were clean and tidy, with plenty of space and storage. It also looked cute at Christmas. I was surprised to find a fairly large bathtub in the room, big enough for two people to lie in. There’s a 24-hour reception, so you don’t have to worry about arriving by a certain time, and breakfast is available. The price for one night was cheap compared with other hotels in the area. The bed was a letdown, though. The comforters felt hard and stiff like rocks, and each bed had one huge pillow that was really uncomfortable. The double bed was just two single beds pushed together, so you couldn’t cuddle your loved one during the night. For a 4-star hotel, it would also have been nice to have a coffee and tea station in the room. There was no complimentary shampoo, conditioner or body soap either.

The pizzas at the restaurant were thin and crispy, a nice finish to a stay in this peaceful hotel. Parking is spacious, and the rooms are clean and large. My room had a small balcony overlooking the garden, with a fountain running by a little lake and red granite stones.
