The balcony was a lovely spot to fish and take in the sunset. With sea views from the villa, plus a big garden and jacuzzi, it made for a memorable stay on Fethiye Knight Island.

The national park "Saxon Switzerland" is easy to get to from here, and the location works well. The place has a lovely atmosphere, with cozy rooms and suites, and the hosts were welcoming and pleasant.

The hosts are helpful and friendly, and it's a great base for hikes. I stayed in a holiday apartment with a tower room and a view of the castle. Just fantastic!

The apartment at Villa Rapunzel had plenty of room for us and our two grandchildren, and it was nicely furnished. The owners gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived. Rathen's attractions were easy to reach, and we had a wonderful few days. We'd happily return.

The door wouldn't lock from the inside, so I had to jam a chair under the handle. The owners weren't there, which is why I'm leaving my complaint here. I've never stayed in such a neglected vacation rental. Although it looked inviting from outside, the place was frustrating. The advertised TV wasn't there, and the bare-bones kitchen didn't even have basic things: big or small bowls, little sharp knives, a bread knife, egg cups, or enough cutlery for more than two people. I had to make salad in a saucepan. There wasn't a dustpan, brush, or placemats either. An oven, or at least a microwave, would be expected. A blanket and parasol for the balcony would also help. The rubbish went into a hallway bin that smelled unpleasant. 😟🤨 👎
