Strandnest Büsum

We were very satisfied, thank you! The apartment is well equipped, and both the landlords and neighbors are very nice. The beach is especially close, which makes the location fantastic. We didn't find any mold during our stay, despite what other guests had mentioned. One bed does squeak, and a wardrobe with more shelves instead of only hanging rails would be more practical in the bedroom.

Being close to the beach was the only good thing about this place. I can't understand the positive reviews. Our room smelled moldy, and we could see mold in the kitchen and bathroom/shower during the walk-through. The kitchen tap dripped and caused the electrical system to malfunction. It was dirty in every corner, with wallpaper coming off the walls and huge cobwebs throughout. Outside was badly run down too: weeds everywhere, broken lights, slippery tiles, and parasols left lying on the ground. The listing says the bathroom is relatively small, but at 1.65 meters tall and slim, I still couldn't shower without bumping into things. The toilet and sink were mounted much too low. Those are just a few examples. It was a disaster.

Apartment Nest 1 smelled musty throughout, and there were cobwebs everywhere with wallpaper peeling off the walls. The bathroom had mold in places, and the shower was only roomy enough for very short people. The bed had clearly seen better days. The location near the family lagoon is good, but even at a low price, I expect a clean room without mold. I wouldn't recommend it.

I wouldn't recommend this place. The booking confirmation shows the lovely terraced house, and it takes digging around to find out that the double rooms are actually in the guesthouse. One double room has been updated, but doesn't look like the pictures; the other is dated and full of unnecessary dust collectors. As an asthmatic, I found those made my stay unpleasant. The guesthouse, especially its entrance and garden, is neglected, with lots of weeds. The garden seating for guests is in unacceptable condition, and the rooms are only roughly clean. Room 4's toilet was covered in limescale and urine stains, with a yellowed seat. During the stay the rooms aren't cleaned, unless you request it for a €34 fee. Otherwise, the place is functional. The much-praised breakfast doesn't exist. There was also something wrong in room 4: my allergy-prone friend was in there for just five minutes before her eyes started watering and one side of her face swelled.
