They wouldn’t move me to another room, even though all my colleagues had regular rooms. Mine was only 9 square meters, like a broom cupboard, and the cleanliness seemed questionable. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location worked very well for what I needed, and the rooms were clean and came in different sizes. For late arrivals, there’s a key drop box since reception isn’t staffed around the clock, which was well organized.

I’d stayed here several times on trips to Buxtehude, but my last visit was a really bad experience. I left my phone charger in the room and returned later that day, only for the cleaning lady to say she hadn’t found one. I was travelling with just one backpack, and the charger had a large plug adapter and a long cable, so I can’t think where else I could have left it. I know forgetting it was my mistake, but I’m very disappointed she didn’t give it back. It makes me wonder what would happen if I’d left my work laptop, phone, or wedding ring. I won’t stay here next time I’m in Buxtehude. Future guests, keep an eye on your belongings.

We’re planning to stay here whenever we visit again. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the beds were great, and the staff made us feel very welcome with their friendly service.
