The beds were a bit hard, and for a 4-star hotel I expected more of the usual facilities, like air conditioning, a restaurant or a gym. Still, the rooms were clean, in good condition and quite large. It's in a nice, quiet spot by the park, with free, easy-access parking, and the staff were very nice and service-minded. The receptionist was especially helpful. Breakfast was good quality, and while the buffet wasn't huge, that's understandable for a smaller hotel. The dining area was calm and spacious.

A lovely hotel with a great room. Shame there wasn't a bar.

The park nearby makes for lovely surroundings, and the plates are a reminder of former times. Check-in was welcoming, with nice sweets for people waiting in the queue, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast had enough choices and was delicious. As someone with coeliac disease, I appreciated that the bread came with a note saying they couldn't guarantee it was free of gluten traces, while the kitchen also had gluten-free options. It felt like a safe breakfast. A really nice stay, and I'll be back if I'm in the Cloppenburg area.

The only downside was having to eat dinner at another hotel. This was the highest-quality hotel of our trip, with thoughtful extras like drinks in the room, water, a shoe horn and a digital pad. It's in a lovely residential area, right beside a pleasant park.

The location was very good, and I had a great view from my window. My room was comfortable and clean, and there were lots of amenities, including free coffee all day. Breakfast was very good too. I'd definitely stay here again!
