Hello, I’m writing about the Garni Hotel after staying for 10 days. It’s in a good location, though not as good as I expected. The heater doesn’t work properly, and when it does heat the room, the air gets so dry that my nose feels bad. Breakfast was good, but the food was the same every day, which got really unpleasant over 10 days. There are no slippers, so my feet were uncomfortable. During my stay, they changed my towel only three times, and didn’t change it at all during the last four days. My ratings: rooms, 3 stars; service, 1 star; location, 4 stars; overall, 1 star.

The location is very good, but that’s the only positive thing I can say after staying here for over a week. The beds aren’t good, there’s a lot of noise in the middle of the night, and nobody speaks English. They don’t take out the trash or change the bed linens. I hung up the sign, but they still hadn’t changed them for over a week. At 7:00 on Saturday morning, I woke to find a cleaning lady standing in my room. She didn’t speak English, and I had to yell at her to leave. Terrible service.

Breakfast was excellent, with all the hot and cold choices you could wish for. My room was spacious and comfortable, very quiet on the top floor, and there’s a lift. Reception isn’t staffed all the time, so you need to let them know your arrival time in advance. The service was friendly, though their English was very limited. I got the last spot in the small car park; I’m not sure what happens when it’s full, since the road is busy. It’s a short walk into Coburg, and there’s a shortcut straight up the very steep hill to the Veste.

I had a lovely corner room on the second floor. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the service was wonderful. Breakfast had a perfect selection.

Clean, good hotel for a city like Coburg, and I’d recommend it to others. Just don’t compare it with a similarly rated hotel in Dubai.
