1st Floor Köln 2

I had a terrible stay at 1st Floor Koln, despite the photos on Booking making it look wonderful. Our room was in the basement with no signal, and there was an unlocked bathroom door leading directly into the basement. When we called reception, the woman said it was perfectly normal to leave it open for our safety. She also said she couldn't give us a key to lock it and that her boos would call the next day. Nobody called. I also think our room was left uncleaned and the towels unchanged for the next three days to punish us. Don't trust the pictures.

The room was great, right down to the little things like the music box, cutlery, and included minibar. The whirlpool was fantastic and easily fit two tall people in room 7. Reception staff were great as well, with bike parking and neighborhood recommendations. Amazing stay, I'd recommend it to anyone!

The rooms were furnished in a modern, funky style that I loved. The pillows were the one thing I couldn't stand, and the toilet's see-through door was awkward. Luckily, I could use the one across the hallway. Apart from that, everything was excellent.

A simple, cozy, chic place to stay. The rooms have whirlpools, and the metro is about 50 m away, with a line that takes you into the city. There's a minimarket, convenience store, and drogeries nearby. Breakfast isn't provided, but Neusser Straße has lots of different restaurants and cafés with reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere.
