We were in Cologne for the Christmas markets, and the location made getting around easy. Three markets are a short walk away, the station is nearby, and there's a supermarket right below the hotel. We liked having somewhere close to pick up water, drinks and snacks. For an affordable hotel on our Europe trip, it was one of the best. Our family room had two beds and a bunk bed, just right for four. The bathroom was a decent size, the beds were comfortable enough, there were slippers and a fridge, and the amenities covered what we needed. It was a bit cold at first, but staff kindly raised the centralized heating when we asked. You can hear neighbors through the thin walls, though we were out exploring most of the time and it didn't bother us much. The staff were helpful, polite and accommodating throughout. We had a really pleasant stay, and it's a convenient, well-equipped option if you're looking for an affordable place in Cologne.

For the price, it was a good hotel: clean, and the room looked like the pictures. The room had two single beds pushed together with separate duvets. I asked for a double duvet, but they didn't have one. There's no kettle in the room, and a morning coffee at reception costs 50c.

We found the room clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. A few changes from our side were handled smoothly. Great value for money, with an excellent location close to the train station and places to visit.

The bed was very hard, and there was nowhere in the shower to hang shampoo or other things, or hooks for towels. The bedclothes were stained; I pointed that out to the woman at reception, but she didn't care. The room cost 114€ and had a column right in the middle of the walkway. The air conditioner was behind a curtain, so I had to choose between using the hot or cold air and keeping the curtains closed so I could sleep. A very bad experience for me.

The employees were really welcoming, and I had a great stay. The hotel is in a perfect spot at the edge of the city center, and the quality is very solid for the price.
