Hotel Chelsea

The staff were kind and polite, and the hotel itself was comfortable and very nice. My room was large, and everything was fine.

The heat was too much, starting in the lift and continuing through the corridors into the room. It rained and cooled things down, but I still had to leave the fire escape door open. They need air conditioning in the hallways to keep the place cool. The lift doors should be left open when it's in the lobby.

The air conditioning was great and much needed in the June heat. It's a quiet hotel, around a 20-25 minute walk from the cathedral, with plenty of cafes and bars nearby, plus a small supermarket next door and a lovely cafe downstairs for coffee. The only drawback was how much natural light came into the room in the morning, if that bothers you. I'd certainly stay again.

There are lots of charming little restaurants, bars, and cafés in the neighborhood. The university and city centre are about a 15-minute walk away, and public transport is easy to use too. I stayed for two full weeks on a work trip. My room and bathroom were both spacious and had everything I needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs was nice as well. One small adjustment: the pillows are much bigger and softer than in most places I've visited, which took me a few nights to get used to. I think that's common in German hotels.
