Good location with easy access to the city centre. It’s a typical hostel, with basic rooms that are clean but more practical than comfortable. It can get noisy with so many guests. Staff were decent and things moved along fairly quickly.

The kitchen was especially nice, much better equipped and more decent than at other a&o places I’ve stayed. I enjoyed this stay more than the one in düsseldorf, though maybe that just depends on the day. Everything was in ordnung. The city tax is only 60c, another reason I’m coming back at the end of the month for 3 €nights instead of going to düsseldorf. That saves me an extra 7.20 on just one trip 😅 Maybe it’s not much, but every penny counts.

Yassine, the night receptionist, was friendly, attentive and professional. He listened to guests and even played the music we asked for, which made things more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable for three people, and the atmosphere at night was calm and quiet. A good stay overall.

The desk staff were lovely, and the reception and social areas were nice. The bathrooms were clean too. My partner and I were put together on two single beds pushed together. Since we booked a four-person room, it would normally have been a lovely surprise, but there was still a bunk bed next to what was effectively our double, which felt a bit awkward.
