CityClass Hotel am Dom

We made great use of the cozy hotel bar to unwind with a drink after the Christmas markets, and breakfast was delicious, varied, and generous, with something for everyone. Our room was attractive, well kept, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. CityClass Hotel am Dom is right in the city center, in the shadow of Cologne Cathedral, near the Christmas market and within walking distance of everything. Parking is available nearby too. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The location and value for money were great.

I was traveling solo from America, and CityClass am Dom made a perfect base for my time in Cologne. It was my first Karneval, and the parades and festivities went right along the street outside, Am Hof. The Cathedral is literally across the street, and the train station is a four-minute walk away. My single room was small but laid out well to make the most of the space. The staff were kind and very helpful. I felt bad that I don't speak German, but they were happy to help me in English. Couldn't have been happier with my stay!

Breakfast was a good buffet with a big range of delicious choices, and the hotel is very close to major attractions and the Haupt Bahnoff (train station). The room was on the small side, but clean, with nice beds and linens. Staff were excellent, especially with the room cleaning.

I had a couple of Wi-Fi problems, but Kibret at the front desk quickly sorted them out and got me connected again. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the rooms were cozy, with a shower that had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was an abundant buffet. For the Christmas markets, the location is hard to beat: the Cathedral market is right across the street and Henzels Wintermärchen is around the corner. I really enjoyed staying at City Class Hotel am Dom and would absolutely come back to Cologne. Happy Holidays!
