Dorint An der Messe Koln

The staff were attentive and highly qualified, and they let us check in earlier than usual, which was a lovely surprise. The rooms were very clean, freshly renovated and well equipped with everything we needed. It’s close to the city center, and private parking is available for an extra fee. A perfect place to stay.

For a business trip to the Messe, the hotel is ideal, right across the road. Service was very good, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. There’s a good breakfast selection, plus a great bar and restaurant. The rooms feel a bit old fashioned and tired, and could use brightening up, but they’re fine for business. It’s very corporate, so I wouldn’t choose it for a pleasure trip. Town is a 25-minute walk or a short tram ride away.

The breakfast was delicious, but the rest of my two-night stay at the Dorint Hotel was terrible. Reception staff were rude and didn’t explain the hotel or its facilities. The rooms looked very old, and the shower soap dispensers were empty. The door handle also gave us a shock when we touched it, which was uncomfortable and worrying.

Stay away from Dorint Cologne. The rooms are poorly equipped and they only clean every two days. The place is dirty and old, and nowhere near five-star standard, barely three at best. Service was awful. I left a night early and was promised a refund, but the hotel later refused to give it. Total scam.
