The location worked really well for us: about a 10-minute walk to the nearest tram, five minutes to a large supermarket, and 15 minutes into the city centre. The kitchen was well equipped and showed no wear, and the room itself was spacious enough to be comfortable for a longer stay. The reception team were kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful, and the ground-floor lobby was spotless. The room, though, was filthy. There was blood on the hallway cupboard door, sticky creamy-looking patches on the floor, heavy dust, and a disgusting bathroom. The main bed had threadbare bedding and almost flat pillows. Although the room was advertised for up to four people, sheets and duvet covers were only supplied for the main bedroom, with nothing for the sofa bed. The housekeeping team needs serious training, and the GM should check rooms more carefully. I’d consider returning if the rooms were cleaned properly.

We liked the price, the friendly welcome, and the lobby, where there was free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and sometimes cookies or pancakes. The room was nice and the bed and sheets were clean, though the floor wasn’t. There was no regular room cleaning, but we could pick up fresh towels and sheets at reception. We’d called ahead about bringing our folding bikes into the studio and were told it was fine. At check-in we were told otherwise, though the manager eventually let us take them up. The fire alarm right above the stove was very sensitive, and the €500 fine made us nervous about cooking, which was one reason we booked a studio.

The location was great, and the staff were very friendly. Our room needed a proper deep clean, though: dust was everywhere, the shower had mould, the tray was stained and discoloured, and the walls were marked. Finding two silverfish in the bathroom was the worst part. It was a pleasant stay in some ways, but this place needs a bit of care.

The location was great, but the place needs an upgrade. We booked partly because laundry was available for our young child. Washing cost 6 euros and drying 4, but the machine stained some of my clothes, so I’d avoid using it. I asked the desk for euros; the girl said she had none, although I saw lots in the drawer when she opened it. The room was far too hot even with the controls off, so we kept the windows open most of the time. We were first told the room would be cleaned after four days, then told it would be eight, so we had to ask for clean towels and supplies. I also saw a few of the small bathroom creatures mentioned in another review. Check-in was easy, but we found dirty underwear in the bedroom closet. I reported it at the desk and was told someone would come up to remove it, which they did. I wasn’t shown how the card-controlled lighting worked. Looking around more carefully, it was clear the room hadn’t really been cleaned, so I swept up what I could with the brush and dustpan.
