We'd definitely come back. When we arrived in July 2013, the site was packed because of a gay festival. The owner walked around with my wife and found us a nice pitch looking out over the river. Everyone there was friendly, and the showers and toilets were very clean. There was also a cooking and dining area where you could prepare, cook, and eat a meal, with free double burner stoves available. They had free Wi-Fi and a place to charge your phone too. We stayed four nights. I'd recommend the site, though everyone has different tastes. There's a cycle path along the river, and a nearby bridge takes you over to the shops.

The area was nice, but the service left me disappointed. I’d been quoted a price by email and had a confirmed place for our tent. When we arrived, though, they hadn’t kept a space for us. We waited about 15 minutes before they found somewhere to pitch it, and the campsite was extremely busy because of a festival. Then the price changed. One staff member gave me a different amount from the email quote, and by the time I returned to reception it was €5.20 more than quoted. I showed them the emails and explained what their worker had told me, but was told to pay or leave. That’s poor business. I wouldn’t recommend it.
