Mercure Koeln Belfortstrasse

The receptionist made a great first impression, sorting out an early check-in and explaining things with some helpful tips for my stay. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Thank you!

The whole team was kind and helpful with our requests, and the breakfast buffet had a tasty, varied selection. We stayed a couple of nights at Mercure Hotel Köln Belfortstraße and had a very pleasant visit. We were upgraded to an apartment that seemed recently renovated and was well equipped. The catch was that it sits across the street from the main building, where the lobby, restaurant, and pool are. The pool, sauna, and fitness area also looked brand new. The sauna costs extra per person, which isn't something we've encountered at every hotel, though perhaps the fee helps keep it in good shape. Thanks to the team. We'll return next time we're in Cologne.

Lovely location and a great room. The water pressure was fantastic. I'll be back!

The location is near the train station and the hotel allows dogs, but I won't stay again. It feels more like three stars to me. The room was okay, nothing special but nothing awful, though the beds were very uncomfortable. I've never had pool water feel so icy, and it was frustrating not to have a kettle or small fridge in the room. Service was uneven: some staff were helpful and nice, while others sounded annoyed when I asked something. I felt really stupid for even asking.
