Hotel Burgerhof

The room was clean and a decent size, and the hotel was fine overall. I didn’t have any major complaints, but the price feels too high for what’s offered, even though hotels in Cologne really are expensive. There’s no restaurant, the breakfast is very limited for the cost, and reception is only open from 3 to 6 pm. I can’t say the service was very good.

The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and I had a pleasant stay. Service was excellent, especially from the very hospitable receptionist. The self check-in instructions could be clearer, as I found them a bit complicated. Finding my room was tricky too, since I had to search across several floors. I’d also have liked slippers, because wearing shoes in the room or standing barefoot on the cold floor wasn’t comfortable.

The service was good, but breakfast was a real letdown: poor variety for such a high price. With little soundproofing or ventilation, the planes overhead at night were really annoying.

The rooms are really nice and spacious, with a lovely terrace. It’s a little far from the centre, but there are shops and restaurants close to the hotel, and it’s comfortable. The girl working in the morning kindly gave me coffee for free. Thanks!
