I stayed here for gamescom, and the owner was very kind and spoke English well. My room was perfectly clean and nice to sleep in. The hotel is in the suburbs of Koln, so it's very quiet. The S11 leaves the station every 20 minutes, and the quick ride to Koln centre takes around 10 to 15 minutes. The only downside for me as a gamer was the WiFi. It has blocked ports, so you can't log in to services like Steam, Uplay or Team Speak 3 to play online. It's a minor issue, though. I'd recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for somewhere for gamescom, since the S11 goes directly to KolnMesse station. :)

Breakfast was a highlight, there was plenty to choose from and the coffee was delicious. The hotel is small and clean, and the staff were really friendly. The walls can be a bit thin, though it didn’t bother me. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The location worked well for getting into the city, about 15 minutes by train. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and everything was very well kept. The owner was so nice, and the place had a real at-home feel. I highly recommend it, fantastic stay all around.

The two owners were especially welcoming and accommodating. I also enjoyed the breakfast, and my room was very clean. It’s a quiet spot, with the S-Bahn less than a 10-minute walk away for trips to the city center.

Breakfast was simple, with fresh food and quick refills at the buffet. The owner was friendly and funny, and everyone else I encountered was perfectly well behaved. The room was clean and fine for a good night’s sleep, with daily cleaning available on request. This is a modest little guesthouse in northern Cologne. The nearby street still feels village-like, though public transport is available and the city’s busier areas are farther away. At night I occasionally heard guests coming back, and once in a while I could quite clearly hear someone entertaining female company for about an hour. I also heard planes overhead a few times in the afternoon and early evening, but it was manageable. All told, the stay was good, or at least okay. It’s a simple, functional place.
