ibis Köln Airport

The hotel was super quiet, and we found fast-food chains nearby as well as a convenience store that stays open 24/7. We stayed three nights and would definitely return. The room was a decent size, and the breakfast buffet was sufficient. It's near the exhibition center, central station, and airport, though you should rent a car or get a taxi.

Everyone I met was polite, professional, helpful, and welcoming, and they spoke English. After a long day out, our host Philip went out of his way to serve us hot food and have a good-spirited chat that lifted our moods and made us feel at home. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel, and with ibis you know what you're getting. The reception was staffed day and night, and the people were friendly and helpful. I needed to be near the highway with easy road access, since I was visiting friends who live around Cologne but not really in the center, so the location worked very well for me. There's protected parking too. KFC is just 15 meters away, and McDonald's is a one-minute drive. Breakfast mattered to me, especially having warm eggs in the morning. They also had some kind of meat balls (let's agree they were meat balls), which tasted good, plus sandwiches and mini pancakes about the size of 2 euro. Overall, breakfast was good. The rooms show a bit of age, but I thought that was okay. Everything was clean and nice, and there's a bar area where you can sit and have a drink in the evening.

The rooms were comfortable and the food decent. The staff were especially friendly and generous, helping us with everything we needed. Philip was great. Overall, a great stay.
