Lipp Apartments

January 2022 update: The room was dark and cold, so I bought extra lights. It was very dirty, and the kitchen was in really bad shape, with dirty drawers and walls. I didn’t want to use the kitchen and didn’t. The TV was the only good thing, because of its size. I’m really disappointed, and sorry, I don’t want to upload photos. March 2023 update: The rooms aren’t all alike. The lights are still weak, the kitchen has hardly any supplies, just one plate and one glass, and the TV is very small, maybe 20 inches. The WiFi is very poor too. Better not look under the bed.

If you can avoid it, find somewhere else. The prices get incredibly high when there’s an event, yet the quality is poor. My place was dirty and small, the refrigerator didn’t work, and the kitchenette had very little equipment. Internet didn’t work at all in rooms at the far end. There’s a nearby main road, the general surroundings are unpleasant, and it’s far from the city. The owner is only available for a few hours, so there’s nobody to turn to if something goes wrong. This feels like a rip-off.

With a trade show on, rooms were either taken or too expensive. I was told all the available double rooms faced the street and were loud. That may be true, but my room was small and basic, more like a better student dorm room. The Expedia photo shows one of the nicer rooms, while mine was half that size.

It was alright for me since I wasn’t that interested in exploring the city. The train is a 10-minute walk away, and from there you can get to Lanxess Arena. There are two shops nearby, and Domino's, yay xD. Would’ve been really good if the rooms had English TV.
