MAISON MARSIL Boutique Hotel

We especially enjoyed discovering Cologne as a family, and Frank was kind enough to share thoughtful recommendations before we arrived. Maison Marsil felt peaceful and cosy, more like a lovely home than a regular hotel. The design is warm and elegant, and every detail seemed carefully considered. Its location made it easy to explore the city, then come back somewhere calm. We’ll remember our stay at Maison Marsil very fondly and would definitely return.

Breakfast at the hotel was well worth having, and the staff there were amazing. Thanks to the German and Dutch women, and to Luca and his friend from Italy. Frank at reception was very professional too. Room C2 was spacious, with three big windows looking onto the street, and it was cleaned every day. The room had everything you’d expect, and the staff throughout were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the city centre, so the attractions and shops are easy to reach on foot or by train. Everything was perfect for my New Year’s holiday. I’d absolutely stay here again on another visit to Cologne.

Our rooms at the back of the building were wonderfully quiet, and the rooms themselves felt cosy. The bathroom products were high quality, and breakfast was great, with fresh coffee and waffles. We also liked being close to a shopping street with some nice restaurants nearby. The welcome at reception was very friendly, and we got lots of helpful tips and information. We loved this hotel.

Maison Marsil felt like a home away from home for our long weekend in Cologne. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and really went the extra mile to make the stay great. We had breakfast every morning and recommend it, especially the waffles we had today. What a fantastic find. We were sad to leave, and would have no hesitation about coming back next time we’re in Cologne.
