Savoy Hotel

You don't need to be staying at the Savoy Hotel Cologne to visit its rooftop bar, and I'm glad we stopped by even though we weren't hotel guests. The panoramic view takes in Cologne, with the Cathedral especially breathtaking. The terrace feels elegant but relaxed, a lovely setting for sunset drinks or a special evening out. We enjoyed the drinks and professional service, and the place felt both exclusive and welcoming. For anyone after a rooftop bar in Cologne, Savoy Hotel is worth a visit for the views.

The suite was spotless and comfortable, overlooking the garden, and the luxurious, opulent decor was lovely. The bathtub and shower were amazing, and the staff were kind and very helpful when our luggage didn't arrive on the flight. It's close to the station too. Our flight delay meant we missed a night, but the suite was ready when we arrived early the next morning. Such a shame about the lost night.

The rooftop view over the city was a highlight. I could have spent hours looking out, by day or at night, and the food and drinks up there were delicious. My room also made a strong impression, with thoughtful design details that gave it a warm, inviting feel. The staff were friendly and welcoming from check-in, and promptly helped with questions and requests. I had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Savoy Cologne from beginning to end.

The gym and sauna were really nice, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. It's an easy walk to the centre. Breakfast fell short of what I'd expect at this kind of hotel. There was no fresh juice and fewer choices than at similar places.
