Cologne Marriott Hotel

The staff made us feel like family, especially when my partner became violently ill with food poisoning on what should have been our last evening, after our five-night stay. I use a wheelchair, and my partner was too unwell to leave the hotel. Though the hotel was full, the front desk team helped find us a room for extra nights and made sure I had what I needed. They offered to accompany me to the pharmacy at the station, arranged a meal from the restaurant so I wouldn't have to think about food for myself, and kept bringing water, extra towels, and bedding. They also sent up a thoughtful note and gift. Staff offered to arrange a doctor and helped me work out what medication to get, since the products are a little different from what we have at home. Every person treated us with such kindness, and I never felt alone in a difficult situation. Even before that, we'd had a fantastic stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast has an incredible buffet with everything you could possibly want. Staff are friendly and attentive. There is good wheelchair access, and because the fire doors are heavy, staff were happy to walk with me and open my room door when I was alone. The service is incredibly high standard, always offered with a smile, so you never feel like a nuisance. We'll absolutely stay here again when we're in Cologne. Thank you so much!

The room was very clean and comfortable, although a little dated, especially the bathroom, which could use an update. The location is fantastic, right in the city center near the train station and a short walk from the magnificent Cologne Cathedral. We arrived late in the evening with our tired little daughter, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Even when our credit cards caused problems, they stayed patient and kind. At checkout they gave our daughter a small goody bag, such a thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was amazing, with an astounding range of fresh, beautifully presented choices in a spotless area. The bar was another nice place to unwind, with a relaxed feel, good drinks, and friendly service. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended for a trip to Cologne!

We booked a spacious suite while visiting the Christmas markets. The room was functional and comfortable, though the furniture and decor felt simple and a bit dated. Turn-down service was a really nice touch. The lounge was what you'd expect from a Marriott, and its staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a good selection, too. The parking garage is connected to the hotel, but the spaces are tight. Our minivan is 5.1m long, so we found an empty area and used two spots. Larger cars will need some careful maneuvering to avoid scraping the walls. Just take it slowly. The location is ideal, and all the staff were super friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely, comfortable stay, and the staff were always helpful. They found us a room with a walk-in shower, which was great. The rooms didn't have great views, but the hotel is handy for the main railway station, river walks, and the Christmas market. Executive Lounge access was a bonus, especially for breakfast and afternoon tea or coffee with cake.
