Pathpoint Cologne Backpacker Hostel

The kitchen is available if you want to cook, and the beds are comfortable. Rooms and linens were very clean. The location is nice too, with the sights and railway station only 5-10 minutes away on foot. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was good. Prices are good. You have to pay for towels if you need one.

The kitchen and common areas are huge, and I liked that the room had its own showers and bathrooms. The Wi-Fi could use improvement, though. I had a great one-night stay, and it’s very easy to get to since it’s right next to The Central station.

The staff were great, and I slept comfortably. I'm over six feet tall and still fit the bed. The bathroom was in the room, with the toilet and shower separate, which was a nice touch. It's only a short walk to the station and about 10 minutes from the Cathedral. Breakfast was €4 for all-you-can-eat oriental food.

The hostel is about a five-minute walk from Köln central station and the main cathedral, so the location is great. The shared spaces are nice, the kitchen is very clean, and the staff were lovely. You can buy beer at very good prices, and there are lockers in the rooms as well as luggage storage for the day for a small fee. The rooms are laid out well, though the mattress could be more comfortable. WiFi is very slow and doesn't reach the rooms.
