We had a really good time and will come back when meatloaf is on the menu. Sharing a table with strangers felt unusual at first, but we ended up with lovely people. The one-meal setup turned out not to be limiting, and having no menu seemed to make service quicker. Grandma had cooked fish with potato salad the night we went. It was delicious and felt properly home-cooked. We didn't know you could ask for seconds if you still had room, which was a nice extra for the hungriest people at our table. We chose the soft drinks package, which also included 0% beer.

The atmosphere was stunning, and I can't remember the last time I was this impressed. Thanks for such a lovely evening! We went to Grandma Sabine's, where she served goulash with noodles and wax bean salad. It brought back childhood memories. The food comes in tureens so everyone can help themselves, and seconds are available too. Each evening has just one dish, cooked by a grandma. Since payment is in advance, they can plan how much to make and hardly anything gets thrown away. The drinks packages work well too, with drinks ready to grab from the fridge. We'd definitely like to try food from the other grandmas.

At first it felt a bit odd to share a table with people we didn't know, but we soon got chatting, especially as the food was passed around. The whole idea is lovely and makes you feel at ease. We had a wonderful evening at Grandma Anelie's, from the warm welcome and time with Grandma to the tasty meal and pleasant atmosphere. It really felt special.
