Restaurant Pension Lubusch Gahro

Mayte, I was the only person staying on level zero, and the room gave me a bad experience. The bed and the smell felt strange to me. Maybe the rooms on the higher floors are good. Sorry to the owner for the negative comment, but I think people should know. I sleep in different places in Germany three times a week, so I can feel the difference.

The food was good, and the owners were friendly, though they seemed very stingy, with the heating switched off again during the day. The rooms were freezing, the beds felt damp, and the toilet and shower in the hallway were cold too. The entrance looks like a storage room or an old garage. The area is probably lovely for hiking, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Breakfast was varied, really good, and nicely presented. They even took care of my special requests. I was passing through by bicycle, and the guesthouse was clean and well kept, with hosts who were incredibly friendly. I'd never had such personal service at a guesthouse. They made me schnitzel with fried potatoes and an egg for dinner, just for me, and it was delicious. I felt very comfortable and have no complaints. Highly recommended!

The staff were fantastic, and the locals made us feel very welcome. We stayed two nights, enjoyed great food, and the beer was nicely chilled. We'll definitely be back.
