Limehome Darmstadt

For what they charge, this experience was completely unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel. The mattress was so worn that it was covered in large fabric pills. It looked unhygienic, and I consider its condition a health concern. I attached photos, and it seems they haven't replaced the mattresses in years. Customer service first told me they'd fix it the next morning. When I returned on day two, the sheets had been pulled back as if someone had started checking, but the same mattress was still there, and the sheets were left hanging instead of the bed being made properly. I contacted customer service again and was told, “I can’t do anything now.” My complaint was then ignored, with no follow-up or solution. That dismissive response made the whole stay worse. Save your money and book somewhere else.

The rooms were all nice and comfortable, and the price was good. I booked three rooms for my parents and me, including an L-size extra bed and a mid room. They were cozy, close to my apartment in Darmsdadt, and very near the center.

We stayed for two nights and were pleasantly surprised. The self-catering apartment was very well equipped. There’s no reception, but the instructions arrived by email in good time, including what we needed for check-in, check-out, and the room codes. Customer care was available 24/7 and very helpful. All the central sights are within walking distance. Parking at Wilhelminenstraße costs €15 for a full day, and the lift goes straight up to the apartments. Just make sure you use the right lift :)

I had a pleasant one-night stay at Limehome Darmstadt, though I did run into a problem with the room entry code at check-in. The location is amazing, right in the heart of Darmstadt and close to restaurants, shops, and the train station. The room was clean and had good amenities.
