The friendly service and varied, very good breakfast made this a good choice for a business trip. Rooms were very clean, with big, comfortable beds. There’s a pool, a small gym, and dry and wet saunas plus a relaxation room on the 8th floor. They take a 50 Euro deposit and return it at checkout. Underground parking costs 18 Euro per day, and getting down to level -2 is quite challenging. Roadworks are underway at the moment, which makes access a little difficult.

I had a really enjoyable visit to Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel Darmstadt. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.

We only stayed one night, and nobody told us parking was paid. We parked for that single night and were charged 18 euros, taken from our deposit. I didn’t like not being informed, and the fee felt way too high.

The only good part was breakfast, which was plentiful and good quality. The rest of the stay was a letdown. We’d hoped to use the relaxation area, but the pool described as heated was cold, so we couldn’t swim with our baby. In the room, the beds hadn’t been made and had single duvets despite being advertised as queen size. Parking was 18€ from 4 PM until noon the next day, which I found unacceptable. On Saturday evening at 8 PM, the restaurant was closed, so we tried the bar. The waiter said he only served flammenkueches and had one pizza left. We ordered two flammenkueches, which were awful, and the pizza was nearly inedible. We were still hungry and couldn’t get any dessert. What bothered me even more was hearing him offer the full menu to the customers next door, who also complained about the food, calling it “execrable.” We politely asked if he could warm our child’s little pot. He said yes, then avoided us for the rest of the service. We won’t be back.
