Ms. Melanie made us feel at home, speaking wonderful English and helping whenever we needed it. The local meals she cooked were tasty and hearty, and there was a great choice of beer, wine, and schnapps. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious. We liked how airy, tidy, clean, and modern the room was, and it was just right for a couple. It had a separate bedroom, an enclosed kitchenette with a fridge, cooktop, sink, and eating area, plus a pristine bathroom. The windows opened fully or tilted, and the TV was new with plenty of channels if you like to doze off watching it. There was also a pleasant shared landing outside our room, with access to a balcony for a coffee, a smoke, or some fresh air. The quiet setting was lovely. We enjoyed the beer garden and watching the little goats across the street, who hardly made a sound. There are a few nearby places to walk to, but having a car would be useful for getting into town. Calling a taxi was easy enough, though. We had a great trip and would stay again.

The maintenance could use improvement.

The landlady was always available and very helpful, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The rooms have been beautifully renovated and furnished inside a venerable building.

The owner was so friendly, and we loved the food and the beautiful beer garden. The Austrian waitress was a real highlight too, even ironing guests' shirts for free. Highly recommended!
