The staff sorted out a Wi-Fi problem that stopped me streaming videos or calling home on WhatsApp, and I appreciated how they handled it. During my stay at city hotel Delmenhorst, Ms. Fleur, Barbara, David, Micheal, Marcel, and the rest of the team were friendly and professional. They welcomed me warmly, check-in was quick, and my room was ready early. It was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. I stayed from August 02 to August 25th and had a really enjoyable time. I’d happily recommend the hotel to friends and family, and hope to come back.

The hotel is clean, and the location in town is hard to beat. We booked on the recommendation of the Delmenhorst tattoo convention organisers, and the hotel gave us a pass for free parking. The decor feels stuck in the 70s or 80s, though. It looks like it gets repainted, but the wood chip wallpaper and visible repairs make it feel dated, and I’d like to see a more modern look. Breakfast was basic and sparse; sometimes there was no bacon or eggs, and refills took long enough that it slowed things down. The rooms, bathroom, lobby, and breakfast room were all clean. Oddly, the room lights are on the walls instead of the ceiling. Would we come back? Sorry, no.

The staff were lovely, and the room was nice. We left our babyphone plugged into the outlet, but they mailed it to our home at their own expense. That’s perfect service.

The room was quite dated and there’s no air conditioning. It can get noisy too, although the staff member we dealt with was very helpful.

The hallways have carpet, so they’re nice and quiet. There’s no tea or coffee in the room, so bring a travel kettle if you want a cuppa. The top floor can get hot in summer, but it’s perfectly OK in winter.
