Gasthof Lindenwirt

The rooms were dusty, old, and dirty. There was dirt on the floor, stains on the bathroom mat, and blurs on the mirror. The TV looked ready to fall over and was held in place with a piece of paper. We booked a Family Room with 4 beds, but got three proper beds and an uncomfortable foldable one that got in the way of the bathroom. 120 Euro is simply too much for that. We were two families, 3 adults and 3 kids, stopping for one night on the way back to Berlin from Italy after a 6-hour drive across the Alps. A week earlier, I had booked two rooms by email, called as well, and received confirmation both in writing and orally. When we arrived, only one room was available. The owner handled it very inadequately. They didn't talk with us, but called another family staying one night, took one of their keys, and handed it to us: “This is now your room!” We hadn't chosen breakfast, so we were supposed to pay in advance. The owner told an employee, “They are not staying for breakfast. Make sure to get the money right now.” Usually, you pay in the morning when leaving. Do not stay here, search for another hotel! The owner could use a hearing aid, and the place needs a thorough renovation.

It's great value for the price, so I give it 4/5 stars. Lower prices mean lower expectations, and it works well as a place to spend the night without spending much. If money isn't a problem for you, I'd look elsewhere.

It's not a luxurious hotel, but well worth a stay. The rooms are fine and breakfast is good. The owner is very nice and works hard to keep things running despite not having many employees.

A cozy little family hotel in a small town, and a great place to rest. The restaurant has good local food, and breakfast was nice.
