We felt at home, enjoyed the winery's own wines, and even took a case back with us. The "Königsberg" apartment was in excellent shape and fully furnished, with views of the "Würzgarten" vineyard from three windows (see photos). Being near the vineyards on the edge of town was a plus, and it was only a short walk through the center to the community center and the Moselle River. There was fresh bread delivery in the morning, a wine shop guests could use around the clock, and the hosts were always helpful and easy to approach. This was our first visit to the Matthias Löwen winery, despite having been to Detzem several times. The great Google reviews were well deserved. We'd happily come back and wish this well-run family business all the best.

We've been coming to the winery for years, and it's always a treat. The holiday apartment is huge, and the hosts are genuinely friendly and welcoming. We had fantastic weather this time, too. Detzem is peaceful and great for relaxing or cycling, and there's a playground close by. It's a lovely spot for families and wine lovers, with the lock nearby worth a visit. The central location also makes trips to Trier, Neumagen-Dhron, or even Luxembourg easy.

It's so quiet here, and the beds are excellent. The apartments are beautiful and lovingly furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen. The Löwen family are friendly, down-to-earth, and easygoing. Mr. Löwen brings fresh rolls to the door in the morning, and there's a wide choice of wines in the fridge. His son is dedicated, friendly, and helpful, leading vineyard tours and working in the family business. A lovely place to unwind and a great base for bike rides. We'd love to come back to the beautiful Moselle region and the Löwen winery.
