Hotel Zum Wikinger

We'd happily stay here again. It's a pleasant place on the coast, and the connections made it easy to visit places along the North Sea. Breakfast was adequate, and we were especially glad our dog could come along.

The place is a little older, but it was clean, and we'd be glad to return. There's also a restaurant at the end of the street if you get hungry. As a family, we were greeted so warmly, and breakfast was plentiful with everyone given a place. The kids even had gummy bears on their plates, and there was hot chocolate too. I don't get some of the complaints here about bad rooms. I've stayed in much worse hotels, where the sausage and cheese were rationed and you had to be fully dressed before going to bed.

Staff were only around in person in the mornings. There wasn't any outdoor seating apart from the smoking pavilion, and the conservatory was locked. Breakfast was laid out only at the set tables. Everything was very clean, but the main building and rooms feel stuck in the 70s, and the atmosphere could use some work.

We could arrive whenever we needed to, and everything went smoothly. There was lots of parking, and finding the beach and shops was easy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We'd love to return next year :)
