The staff were very, very, very nice, and the rooms were much better than I expected. Breakfast in the morning makes things easier too. It's a simple place, but perfect if you're in Dortmund for a match and want to be near everything Borussia Dortmund. The stadium is just a 10-minute walk away. I'll stay here again next time.

On game days you get a real feel for the fans as they walk past the hotel. We were in town for the Dortmund game, and the stadium is only half a mile away, a nice walk from the hotel. The rooms were fine, no complaints. A taxi to or from the main train station costs about 11 euros.

It's not a fancy, modern luxury hotel, let's be honest, but it has character. The staff put real effort into making your stay comfortable. One night they even surprised me with a few small gifts, which was really kind. I'll come back!

It's handy for the U-bahn, but the hotel itself is old, run down, and needs some care. Our bedroom was small and the beds were awful to sleep on, as well as extremely low. The one good thing about sleeping there was how peaceful it was. The WiFi didn't work anywhere in the hotel. We stayed three days and couldn't connect at all.
