That quiet setting had us relaxed from the moment we arrived. The house is also laid out thoughtfully: the main bedroom closes off with a lovely sliding door, and a thick curtain gives the smaller bedroom good separation from the stairs. We especially appreciated the air inside. Our son has allergic asthma, so upholstered furniture and stuffy air can be a concern, but everything felt just right here. The open living space has wide views, and in winter the morning sun reaches the breakfast table. It's beautifully cared for, furnished with real attention, and equipped to a high standard. We can absolutely see why it gets so many five-star reviews, and would happily recommend it.

The kids had a great time playing freely in the fenced garden, and its size made the place feel private and almost removed from everyday life. We were there before Christmas, which also made it easy to get to the Christmas markets and see the lovely wood carvings without driving too far. We came as a family of four hoping to properly unwind, and the peaceful location did the trick. The cottage was well equipped, and the fireplace was wonderful, with firewood provided. Getting in touch with the owner was easy and relaxed too. We had such a cozy stay and would recommend it. It seems like it would have plenty to offer at other times of year as well.

The fireplace was the best part for us, warming the cottage so nicely each evening. Everything was spotless, and the furnishings were excellent, with everything we could have needed. A lovely little place for a peaceful break. Highly recommend it for a short getaway.

Oberwiesenthal is less than an hour away, so sledding and skiing are easy options. Plenty of other things are only a short drive away too. The kids felt right at home in this great little house, which had everything we needed. Its central location is a real plus. We'd come back anytime! 👍👍
