The food was excellent for a hostel, especially the spätzle, and breakfast was hearty with plenty to go around. Vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-free options were available too. I spent five days here with 67 tenth graders. The newly renovated hostel was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The building carries noise everywhere, though: each door closing sounds like a slam throughout the place. Sharing it with a school class could be nerve-racking, and the pupils opening and closing their doors kept me awake all night. Check whether large groups of children will be staying there.

The food was well prepared and typically Bavarian, and the rooms were clean and a decent size. My one complaint is the weak Wi-Fi signal, which doesn't reach most rooms.
