The hostess was very warm and accommodating, even though we arrived well after the usual check-in time, at 10:30 pm. We got useful suggestions for the area and Christmas markets, and the souvenirs in the room helped us get our bearings in Dresden. The daily room service was a thoughtful touch, though I would have liked more information on site beyond what’s on the website, and the choice to decline the service. The property has a special feel for families and fairytale fans. You can see the care put into the rooms and the whole place. The furnishings were good, if not especially modern, and we had everything we needed to make our own meals. The Frau Holle room’s beds were softer than I like. The price seemed fair, although paying only in cash and not getting a receipt struck me as unusual. Most of the stay was pleasant, and the hostess was helpful. But her lecture-like manner became a real problem when she told us as we left, “Don't go to conventional doctors too often, and you'll stay healthy!” Belief in energizing water or removing negative vibrations may help someone, even without evidence, but that kind of advice crosses a line. That’s unacceptable and why our rating is only middling.

The house and its rooms are decorated beautifully, with a bit of magic everywhere. We got such a warm welcome, and pets are welcome too, especially cats. Highly recommend it!

We had a lovely time and will definitely return. The landlady was very nice, and the rooms felt magical, with so much care given to the details. The location worked well too, with both the rehabilitation clinic in Kreischa and Dresden’s sights just a few minutes away.

At Pension am Märchenbrunnen, we were greeted warmly by a very nice couple. The rooms have been furnished with a lot of care, and we didn’t find anything missing. Its location is ideal, with central Dresden and the sights easy to reach, as well as the quiet Elbe and its well-developed cycle paths. I’m already looking forward to visiting again. Dresden and the surrounding area are fascinating and well worth seeing.

The rooms look absolutely beautiful and have everything you need. There was still food in the fridge from construction workers who stay there regularly, but, well, that’s how it is. What I can’t accept is the landlord going into guests’ rooms while they’re out on excursions and moving their personal things around. That’s absolutely worth reporting!
