The room was charming and clean, but on our one-night stay we arrived late and found it stifling hot. There was just one tiny window, which I had to leave open overnight. It only had a sitting bathtub. In the morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the dining area and the wonderful breakfast we were served. It’s a very quiet place, just steps from the Elbe River bike path.

The old ferry man’s house upstairs has the rooms, while in summer guests can relax in the romantic beer garden by the Elbe. CAMPAGNOLA Ristorante & Boutique Hotel is a charming place in the heart of Dresden-Loschwitz, right on the riverbank. It’s also a hospitality hotspot with room for events. CAMPAGNOLA was freshly renovated and reopened with renewed energy on March 17, 2025.

This is the kind of place I’d choose for a special occasion, rather than an everyday pizza around the corner. The food was high quality, well prepared, tasty, and nicely presented, and the service was just as good. There are familiar menu items as well as lots of specialties and creative recipes. I’d recommend it for a lovely dinner, a date, or a celebration.

The food was absolutely delicious, the setting really nice, and the service absolutely great. Everything is high quality, you couldn’t ask for more. It deserves more than five stars.
