We spent a wonderful week in the Schönfeld Highlands in October 2014, and we’ll definitely come back. Hiking trails begin right outside the hotel and are manageable even with small children. The new owners, who took over in 2014, clearly go out of their way to make guests comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. We had to sort out our own lunch and dinner, but with a car there are plenty of affordable places nearby. Many thanks to the Schultz family!

We’ve held two large celebrations at the Lindenschänke and were pleased with everything. The food was tasty and there was more than enough. Service was attentive, the drinks selection was excellent, and staying overnight felt heavenly. We can wholeheartedly recommend this country hotel.

We celebrated the start of the school year here, and the preparations, food, and everything else went just as expected. It’s a lovely rustic hotel with simply furnished rooms. We’d gladly come back, and highly recommend it for special occasions.

The owners were very friendly, and the rooms were clean, lovely, and quiet. The area around the hotel is perfect for hiking. Highly recommended.

We felt right at home here, and would love to return. It was just as lovely on our October 14, 2018 visit as it always is. The family who owns the hotel is so friendly and helpful, and the staff were nice, helpful, and very friendly too. Our room was cozy, quiet, and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, a great start to the day, but you have to order it separately, so ask in advance. Sadly, there’s no dinner option at the hotel, so you have to eat out or bring a packed meal to your room. There’s parking right at the hotel. It’s especially lovely during Advent. Thank you so much, Family Schultz.
