Pension Am Steinkreuz

After one night, one of my employees would rather sleep in his car, despite our week-long booking already being paid for. We had plenty of photos because the place was truly awful. I booked this guesthouse for my employees from Poland, and I can't understand how anyone can rent it out like this. It was dirty and unclean, and the rooms smelled so strongly of sewage that it gave you a headache and made it impossible to fall asleep. There are two floors, ground and first, with eight small rooms, which I'd estimate at about 15-16 square meters each. Some were occupied by intoxicated people, probably welfare recipients, who were simply terrifying. The conditions strongly reminded me of slums like those you see in Southeast Asia. The house across the way was a construction site where Polish workers had made themselves at home. After drinking, they played Polish music loudly, sang along, and kept going past midnight. It was all completely antisocial, like something from a bad horror movie. That's my personal opinion, and I would never book there again. The worst thing WE have ever experienced!!!

Our technicians didn't feel comfortable and left early. The rooms were dirty and hadn't been cleaned, with mold on the ceiling and cobwebs everywhere. There was trash dumped by the entrance, no breakfast, and nobody on site to contact.

We'd stayed here once before for a quick overnight trip, when things were different, and thought we'd try it again a few years later. Never again. Everything has gone downhill. The beds are still low and small, and there isn't breakfast anymore. Workmen were living downstairs and having after-work parties. And you'd better not look too closely at the shower, if you know what I mean. It's not a place for a relaxing holiday. If you just want cheap accommodation, don't mind spiders and dust, and can manage without room service, you could ask about staying here. Have fun ;-))

The staff are really friendly, and there's a big parking lot, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and a great breakfast. For these unbeatable prices, what more do you need? It's a small guesthouse, so anyone wanting more should book somewhere more expensive. I can't understand the negative reviews. I'll come back! ;)
