B&B Hotel Düsseldorf-Hbf

The room was mostly clean, though housekeeping had missed a dried piece of gum beside the bed. We worked around it and told the front desk, and the staff member apologized straight away. It seemed like a one-off. The price was fair for what you get, but I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on it. The curtains blocked almost all the light, which was handy for a daytime nap while jetlagged. It's a pleasant walk from Dusseldorf hbf. At night, I'd take the route through the station instead of the underpass, though you do miss some street art that way. The employee who checked us in an hour before the time stated in the email was kind, but didn't speak much English. That's not her fault, though other foreign guests might want to write down a few sentences in advance. The bar staff member and the person who checked us out did speak English, so you won't be completely stuck.

There wasn't anyone at the front desk to ask for help after around 8, and calling the hotel just led to an endless phone menu. During my stay, two loud neighbors partied through the night. They screamed and threw things, and I could hear every word, so I couldn't sleep. The staff let it carry on until late morning. The service and room itself were fine, but the noise made the stay terrible. If you don't plan to stay up all night, I'd avoid this place.

I felt unwelcome because the staff spoke to me disrespectfully. They also followed my friend and wouldn't let her use the bathroom, which felt unnecessary and was really disappointing. Based on the poor service I experienced, I wouldn't recommend the place.

I only needed somewhere close to the train station for one night. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
