Batavia

The Asian neighborhood is a lovely place to stay, with plenty of good Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and Indian restaurants. You can walk to the center of Düsseldorf in about 15 minutes. Batavia is a basic but very clean hotel, and the rooms have what you need. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a nice, affordable choice for a city trip.

We stayed just one night while travelling through. The breakfast was nice and had a good selection. We’d booked hoping to park at the hotel, but were told the parking was full, so we had to find another place, which cost more. The room had no air conditioning, which wasn’t pleasant in the heat.

The location is very handy, especially if you want to be near the shopping district. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the service was great for a three-star hotel. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’d recommend this place. For the price, it offers a lot of value.

We asked about vegan breakfast and they surprised us with vegan bread, cheese, butter, sausages, plus plenty of vegetables, fruit, and vegan yoghurt. The supermarket around the corner has the biggest vegan selection we’ve ever seen. The hotel was clean, with large rooms and friendly staff, and it’s great value for money. Thanks, hotel Batavia, we’ll be back!
