The staff were kind, but the value for money is poor and the cleanliness could be a little better. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than one or two nights.

I agreed to pay the €3 city tax after checking my Booking.com confirmation again and finding the small note I’d missed. Mr. Şahin explained it calmly when the receptionist called him, and I told him on the phone that the older receptionist’s behavior had been completely inappropriate. The receptionist had first started yelling and acting aggressively instead of explaining the charge, making strange gestures and being rude. He began shouting again right after my call, so I shouted back and said I’d call the police. Then he suddenly switched to asking me to calm down. This happened when I arrived for my stay on July 2-4, and the man ruined my night and left me furious. If he hasn’t apologized by the time I check out, I won’t change this review. I can see now why the hotel’s Booking.com ratings are so high while its Google Maps ratings are noticeably lower. It all makes sense.

The breakfast was very good, and the hotel is very clean. It’s close to Düsseldorf central train station too.

There were plenty of restaurants nearby, and the bus station was only a two-minute walk away. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable for my one-night stay. There’s no elevator, but they let me leave my luggage at reception, so I only carried up what I needed.

After breakfast, I could go for a walk near the Hofgarten, and the hotel itself was peaceful and quiet. The location was really good, and the staff were kind and very helpful. The breakfast was so tasty too. Thanks so much for everything 🙂💯
