Hotel Rheinischer Hof

The room was tiny, and there was no fresh water for us.

The rooms are just small.

We stayed at the Rheinischer Hof hotel while attending the trade fair in Düsseldorf. For the price, especially during the fair, the value was unbeatable, and we received a very friendly welcome. Both single rooms were well-equipped. Parking was the main drawback. My colleague’s room on the second floor was also awkward to reach with heavy or bulky luggage because of the spiral staircase, though strong men would have no trouble. Apart from that, everything was great.

We’ve stayed at this hotel three times before and were always satisfied, but this room was below standard. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, the carpet was stained, and yellow marks showed through on the duvets. The furniture was scratched and chipped. The bathroom outlet was coming out of the wall, the shower curtain rail looked ready to fall, and the drain was clogged. The window was difficult to open and close because it wasn’t adjusted properly. Showering with the curtain was a hassle; a shower cubicle would be much better. The TV was off to the side of the bed instead of opposite it. Dear Djabbari family, we enjoy staying at your hotel and you’re all very nice, but there are things that need improving. Internet access should be included in the price, for example. The hotel is in Gerresheim, a beautiful Düsseldorf district with excellent public transport. You can get to the city centre without changing trains or buses, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Despite these problems, I’d still recommend the hotel, and we’ll book again, hoping the room is in better shape next time.
