Hotel Villa Casa

The service was rude, the plumbing was poor and the mattresses were bad. I also saw some dead cockroaches in the common areas. Calling this a 3 star hotel is quite a stretch, if it even qualifies as a hotel.

I didn’t like it at all. It felt like a lodge in a private house, not a hotel, and the mattress was too soft. Service was rude, and they didn’t seem interested in helping people.

Planes overhead were a constant problem, passing above the house from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. The public transport links were poor, and the smells between the kitchen and bedrooms were awful. This place felt like a converted house, not a hotel. Staff were rude, and the old, unattractive rooms were tiny and noisy, with small, dirty beds and no bedspreads. From rooms by reception, you could hear everything outside, including the owners shouting and preparing breakfast from 6 a.m. Breakfast cost €10, paid in advance because they apparently didn’t trust guests. There wasn’t much to choose from and the quality was low. The owner got angry if you arrived at a different time from what had been mentioned the day before. I can’t see how this qualifies as a three-star hotel. One star at most, maybe zero. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

For an early flight from Düsseldorf airport, the location works perfectly. Check-in and check-out were easy, and there’s a parking space right outside, so you don’t waste time before catching your plane. The room was very clean and had everything I needed for a short stay. They also provide cribs for babies. Good value for the price.
