Update: Director of Operations Mr. Laukamp contacted me afterward. He was understanding and also disagreed with how we had been treated. We agreed that the extra charges for lounge service we never received would be removed, and that we would get a complimentary two-hour late check-out. Thank you, Mr. Oliver. See you next time. During our five-night stay, we had paid extra for executive lounge access but received the service only once, and only after asking directly through the receptionist. Even then, it wasn't at the level we expected. Each day we were told the hotel wasn't busy enough to provide lounge service, which didn't justify withholding something we'd already paid for. We also asked for a modest three-hour late check-out because of our late flight. We were told the hotel would suddenly be fully booked and couldn't accommodate us, even for an extra charge. That was surprising after being told occupancy was low. For a five-star hotel, the poor service and failure to provide prepaid benefits were very disappointing.

The setting is lively and the location is fantastic, with shops and places to explore just outside. The design is beautiful, the room was a good size, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom spacious and stylish. The glass and blind arrangement in the bathroom didn't give much privacy, though. The air conditioning was very weak and took ages to cool the room. The staff were friendly, professional and ready to help, especially the reception team, who made a great impression. Parking was a hassle: it's paid during the day and free only from 9 p.m. until morning. Complimentary parking for hotel guests would make a big difference. We ordered two colas through room service and were surprised that they cost €20 including service charge, which felt excessive. I enjoyed the stay despite these inconveniences, and would definitely return if the parking issue were solved.

Breakfast had a great range of delicious options, and every staff member we met was professional, friendly and ready to help. Hotel Kö59 Düsseldorf has an elegant, quiet, luxurious feel, with a great location in one of Düsseldorf's liveliest areas and easy access to shopping and restaurants. Highly recommended for a visit to Düsseldorf.

Pia and the concierge team deserve a special thank you for their warm hospitality and help. Everyone on staff was friendly, attentive and ready to assist, and they went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We had a relaxing, comfortable time at Kö59 Düsseldorf.

We had a superior king room with a huge bathroom, a nice desk, automated blackout curtains, a Nespresso machine and a large, well-positioned TV with plenty of channels, including English ones. The staff were consistently polite and helpful. Breakfast was great, and so were the bar and restaurant. Valet parking was a lovely surprise. Looking forward to coming back.
