Van der Valk Airporthotel Düsseldorf

The rooms have an interesting layout, and I loved the window seat. Downstairs, the shared spaces were very nicely designed and kept up. The restaurant had good food and drink choices, and the separate bar with its outdoor patio was really nice too. Breakfast had a very good selection, as usual at German hotels, though the coffee could be better. Very nice hotel, highly recommend it.

Breakfast was great, with enough options and nothing too fancy. There are quite a lot of parking spaces on the first floor. With the curtains open, you can see the view from the beds, though it felt strange to me, honestly, that neither side of the bed was against a wall, from an Asian perspective. The bathtub was huge, while the shower's water flow was a bit moderate.

The breakfast setup was probably the best I've seen, with an incredible range of things to choose from. We also had great service throughout, and the bar was a lovely place to relax. At check-in, the customer service was welcoming and excellent. The restaurant was outstanding for both the menu and service. Our room was fantastic and really spacious, with a huge bathtub. My only issue was the bed, which was two twin beds pushed together. I absolutely loved staying at Van der Valk Airporthotel Düsseldorf and would happily come back. I highly recommend it.

The staff were excellent, and the cheesecake was fairly good, but dinner was a disappointment. The menu is strange. The chicken burger was a complete disaster: dry chicken breast that was clearly microwaved, with cold ratatouille eggplant. It was barely edible. There was no chocolate dessert at all, and the panna cotta was a gelatinous ball, an offense to the senses. I don't recommend eating dinner here.
