We especially loved winding down on the spacious terrace overlooking the little vineyard. The apartment with the fireplace was spotless and beautifully coordinated, with modern, high-quality furnishings and a practical layout. Its kitchen was unusually well equipped for a vacation rental, including a stylish wine fridge. Maximilians Domizil is such a welcoming place to settle in and feel at home. The peaceful, pretty location also worked perfectly for bike rides through the Palatinate wine region, and there was a dedicated room with charging points for e-bikes. From booking through departure, everything was handled reliably, warmly, and professionally. We had a wonderful time and would happily return.

March brought us unexpectedly chilly, changeable April-like weather, so it was great to have the sauna in the apartment at Maximilian Domizil, owned by the Hirsch family. It was tastefully furnished, and the comfortable bed helped us feel at ease. The sauna was especially welcome in the cold. We'd gladly recommend staying here as a base for exploring the Southern Palatinate.

Whenever work brings me to Landau, I feel looked after and at home. Mr. and Mrs. Hirsch are wonderful hosts, and Holger Hirsch really knows wine and seems to understand what his guests enjoy.

The apartment had a lovely, welcoming feel, with clean lines and thoughtful design. Because of the pandemic we relied more on the kitchen, and it had everything we needed, including spices, olive oil, and pasta. There was complimentary mineral water in the fridge, plus good wine in the temperature-controlled cabinet for a small fee, so we didn't have to arrange anything over the weekend. We arrived to a very warm apartment, with every room already heated. We had pleasant contact with Maximilian's Domizil beforehand when business matters forced us to change our booking. On a rainy weekend the fireplace was especially comforting, and there was plenty of wood. The place has a lot of positive energy. We'll definitely return.
