The service here was top notch, even compared with luxury hotels I've stayed at in some pretty far-flung places. Staff notice the small things: after seeing cigarettes on my bedside table, they left an ashtray and matches after the first service. The bathrooms are lovely, with heated floors, and the room staff handled everything well. We asked for a higher room with a lake view and the front desk arranged it with a smile. We have two spa treatments booked for today and already expect them to be excellent. The one sour note is the €20 nightly parking fee. After paying €1250 for two days, before food and drinks, being charged to park the car feels a bit cheap and classless. Everything else has been excellent.

The spa was a lovely place to unwind, with swimming, saunas, and wellness treatments alongside views of the lake and mountains. There are plenty of dining choices at the hotel and nearby, and on sunny days you can bike, kayak, or even paraglide over Tegernsee. My room had a fresh bottle of water waiting each morning and evening, a thoughtful touch. The whole stay felt calm and unhurried, with gentle, attentive staff who were ready to help without hovering. It’s an ideal spot for a quiet, luxurious holiday in Germany. I’d love to return someday.

The spa was partly under construction when we visited, and what was open felt so overloaded that we couldn't really use it. For the price, that was a big disappointment. The hotel looks old, and a lot of things are worn out, including the drapes and shower handles. There’s plenty of gold plating, but the actual quality feels low. Even the towels were quite worn from what seemed like endless use. Compared with other hotels in Leaders and the Tyrol area, this one falls far behind. It isn't what I’d expect at this price level.

The lake entrance is just a small set of steps with a railing, no beach, but it was perfect for a swim. I loved swimming there. The rooms were splendid, and hearing light classical music over the speakers when we walked in was a lovely touch. Breakfast was among the best I've had at a hotel. This is certainly one of the best establishments I've stayed at.
